Noun किसी व्यक्ति, स्थान, या वस्तु के नाम को Noun कहते हैं।

व्यक्ति- राम, राहुल, राकेश, मोहन।

जगह- भारत, अमेरिका, घर,

चीज- टेबल, चेयर, लैपटॉप।

उदाहरण- निधि क्रिकेट खेल रही है।

व्याख्या- इस वाक्य में निधि और क्रिकेट दोनों ही संज्ञा हैं। क्योंकि ये दोनों नाम हैं।

1. Proper noun in Hindi व्यक्ति वाचक संज्ञा

जिस Noun से किसी विशेष व्यक्ति, वस्तु, या स्थान का बोध हो, उसे व्यक्ति वाचक संज्ञा कहते है।

The noun which represent the particular place, person or thing is called proper noun.

Examples:-

• Rani was born on Monday.
• Chandigarh is the capital of Haryana.
• The Geeta is a holy book.

इन वाक्यो मे Rani एक विशेष व्यक्ति का नाम है और Monday एक विशेष दिन का नाम और Chandigarh और हरियाणा एक विशेष स्थान का नाम है। और Geeta एक वस्तु का नाम है तो ये सभी Proper Noun है।

2. Common Noun in Hindi जातिवाचक संज्ञा हिंदी

जिस Noun से एक वर्ग अथवा जाति के प्रत्येक व्यक्ति या वस्तु का बोध हो, उसे Common Noun जातिवाचक संज्ञा कहते है।

3. Collective noun in Hindi समूह वाचक संज्ञा

जिस Noun से किसी समुह का बोध हो उसे Collective Noun कहते है।

A collective noun is a name given to several things taken as a whole, group of collections.

Example-

• Our Team won the trophy.
• Indian Army fought bravely.
• I am the monitor of my class.

इन वाक्यो मे team, Army, Class सभी एक समुह का बोध कराते है।

4. Material Noun in Hindi पदार्थ वाचक संज्ञा

जिस Noun से ऐसे पदार्थ का बोध हो, जिसकी मद्द से दुसरी बन सके, उसे Material Noun कहते है।

Material noun is a word used for the substance of which things are made is called Material Noun.

Examples-

• Ring is made up of Diamond.
• Copper is useful metal.
• Gold is priceless metal.

In these sentences, Diamond, Copper, Gold all are material nouns. Because they are metals.

5. Abstract Noun in Hindi भाववाचक संज्ञा

जिन noun से गुण, कार्यविधि आदि का बोध हो, उन्हे Abstract Noun कहते है।

An abstract noun is a word used for an action, state, or quality.

Examples-

• Beauty is the nine days wonder.
• Laughter is the best medicine.
• Poverty is the greatest curse.

In these examples beauty, laughter, poverty are examples of Abstract noun. Because they show quality, state and action.
