हिंदी में Adjective का अर्थ होता है विशेषण | Adjective (विशेषण) एक ऐसा शब्द है जो संज्ञा और सर्वनाम के अर्थ में कुछ जोड़ने के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है। या हम कह सकते हैं कि यह एक ऐसी शब्द है जो Noun या Pronoun के गुण को दर्शाता है। संज्ञा या सर्वनाम का यह गुण नकारात्मक अर्थ या सकारात्मक रूप में हो सकता है। यह अच्छी गुणवत्ता या खराब गुणवत्ता दिखा सकता है। इस प्रकार के शब्द को विशेषण कहते हैं।

1. Adjective of Quality [गुणवाचक विशेषण]

जिस विशेषण से संज्ञा के गुण का बोध होता है, वह गुणवाचक विशेषण कहलाता है। इसका अर्थ है कि यह एक ऐसा शब्द है जो किसी भी व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु का गुण बताता है।

जैसे-

राम एक चालाक लडका है।
लाल फूल सुन्दरं है।

The adjective which shows the quality of Noun Is called Adjective of quality. It means it is a word that shows the quality of any person, place, or thing.

Example-

Ram is a clever Boy.
A lazy boy is still sleeping.

2. Adjective of Quantity [परिमाणवाचक विशेषण]

जिस विशेषण से किसी वस्तु की मात्रा का बोध होता है, उसे परिमाणवाचक विशेषण कहते हैं। मात्रा का विशेषण गणनीय नहीं हो सकता। हम उनकी गिनती नहीं कर सकते।

मुझे थोड़ी चीनी दो।
राहुल मुझसे थोड़ा दूध मांगता है।

3. Proper Adjective Adjective in Hindi

उचित विशेषण वे विशेषण होते हैं जो व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा से मिलकर बनते हैं Proper Adjective कहलाते हैं

4. Adjective of number [संख्यावाचक विशेषण]

जीस Word से वस्तु की संख्या प्रकट हो, उसे संख्यावाचक विशेषण कहते है।

5. Demonstrative Adjective in Hindi [संकेतवाचक विशेषण]

जो Adjective अपने तुरन्त बाद प्रयुक्त Noun की ओर संकेत करे, वो Adjective Demonstrative होते है।

Example:

This girl is pretty.
That pen is green.
Those cows are white.
These pencils are black.

6. Distributive Adjective [विभागसूचक विशेषण]

जो Adjective किसी वर्ग की प्रत्येक वस्तु या व्यक्ति को प्रकट करे, उसे Distributive Adjective कहते है। जैसे- Each day, Every Child, Either, Neither.

Examples-

Each boy took his sheet.
Either boy will solve this sum.
Every Girl was happy.

6. Interrogative Adjective in Hindi [प्रश्न वाचक विशेषण]

जिन Adjective की मद्द से प्रश्न पूछें जाते है, उनको Interrogative Adjective कहते है। जैसे- What, Which, Whose etc.

Example-

What time is it.
Which frock is hers.
Whose house is this?
What colour is your shirt?

8. Possessive Adjective [संबन्ध वाचक विशेषण]

जो Adjective किसी व्यक्ति अथवा किसी वस्तु से सम्बंध बताते है, उन्हे Possessive Adjective [संबन्ध वाचक विशेषण] कहते है।

जैसे- My, Our, Her, Their etc.
